Desk+Chair Terms & Conditions
1. General Conduct
1.1 Compliance
You agree to follow these Terms & Conditions, including any House Rules, and ensure your team, guests, and service providers ("Invitees") do the same.
1.2 Use of Space
The space is provided in its current “as-is” condition. It is to be used strictly for general office purposes — not for illegal, disruptive, or hazardous activities. No alterations, installations, or storage of hazardous materials are permitted.
1.3 Behavior & Responsibility
Please maintain a respectful, professional environment. Loud noise, strong odors, illegal substances, and harassment of any kind are strictly prohibited. You’re responsible for any damage caused by you or your Invitees.
1.4 Access & Entry
Desk+Chair staff may enter the space for cleaning, inspections, or maintenance. We’ll give you advance notice unless it’s an emergency.
2. Space Care & Equipment
2.1 Furnishings & Fit-Out
Please take care of the space, including all furnishings, equipment, and shared facilities. Do not alter, move, or damage any Desk+Chair property.
2.2 End of Term
When your term ends, return the space and equipment in good condition (beyond normal wear and tear). Any damage or missing items may be charged against your Security Deposit.
3. Shared Areas
3.1 Common Areas & Shared Facilities
Depending on your membership, you may have access to shared meeting rooms, kitchenettes, printers, etc., on a non-exclusive basis and subject to availability. These may change from time to time without notice.
3.2 Mail & Deliveries
If included in your membership, mail can be delivered to Desk+Chair. We'll handle it with care but are not responsible for lost or delayed packages.
3.3 Security
Keys, fobs, or cards remain property of Desk+Chair. Please don’t copy or share them. Lost items must be reported immediately; replacement costs may apply.
4. Payments & Fees
4.1 Monthly Charges
All monthly charges, fees, and VAT are due as agreed. Extra services (like meeting rooms, printing, or catering) are billed separately and must be paid upon booking.
4.2 Late Payments
If payment is more than 5 days late, a 5% late fee may apply. Continued non-payment may result in termination of your access without refund.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
5.1 Cancellations
You may cancel anytime.
Before start date: Full refund.
After start date: No refund for used months. Remaining pre-paid months will be refunded on a pro-rated basis.
5.2 Security Deposit
If collected, your deposit will be held securely and returned within 5 business days after the end of your term, minus any deductions for damage or unpaid fees. No interest will be paid.
6. Insurance & Liability
6.1 Your Property & Insurance
You are responsible for your personal items and must arrange your own insurance. Desk+Chair is not liable for loss, theft, or damage.
6.2 Liability Waiver
You agree to hold Desk+Chair harmless from claims or damages arising from your use of the space, except in cases of proven negligence by us.
7. Equal Opportunity & Safety
7.1 Respectful Workplace
Desk+Chair is an equal opportunity workplace. Discrimination, harassment, or abusive behavior toward staff or members will result in immediate termination without refund.
7.2 Confidentiality
Each party agrees to keep each other’s confidential information safe. You are responsible for any information you choose to share in open areas.
8. Default & Termination
8.1 Defaults
You’re in default if you (1) miss payments, (2) break the terms and don’t correct it within 10 days, or (3) try to transfer or assign your agreement without approval.
8.2 Termination
If default occurs, Desk+Chair may terminate your access and retain any owed amounts, including damages or fees required to restore the space.
9. Final Notes
9.1 No Lease
This agreement is a license to use the space — it’s not a lease or sublease. You gain access, not tenancy rights.
9.2 Renewals
Hot Desk and Dedicated Desk memberships renew automatically unless cancelled. Other agreements end on their specified end date unless renewed.
